LED skin therapy has been a treatment that is highly recognised and used widely within the aesthetic industry for the successful treatment of skin issues, including, age spots, acne and wrinkles.
This effective treatment is used for increasing collagen and tissue regeneration.
The U.S Navy SEALS began using LED in the 1990’s to help legal wounds and to help regenerate damaged muscle tissue.
There are two frequencies/wavelengths used with LED light treatment.
These include red and blue frequencies, which do not contain Ultraviolet rays and are readily absorbed into the skin.
Red light or infra red light
Red light or infra red light is used for treating the epidermis, the outer layer of the skin. The epidermis absorbs the red light, to stimulate collagen proteins giving a smoother and fuller appearance of the fine lines and wrinkles. It also improves the skin circulation and reduces inflammation, giving the skin a healthier glow.
Blue LED light targets the sebaceous glands / oil glands that are responsible for lubrication of the skin and hair.
Blue LED light helps to control over active sebaceous glands, helping to prevent and treat oily or acne skins, preventing fewer outbreaks including, cysts, nodules, comedones and pimples. Blue light can also kill acne causing bacteria beneath the skin and helps decrease scaring and inflammation.
This treatment is offered as an additional treatment on top of your chosen facial treatment to enhance the effect of the facial or Peel. Decrease scaring and inflammation. This is offered as an add on to your facial treatment.
